Sheree and Greg at Destination Iron Range are very proud to be part of the service team delivering the Local Fare Scheme (LFS) to the residents of remote Cape York communities.
Eligible residents receive up to $200 off the advertised airfare, to help reduce the financial burden of traveling to Cairns and between communities. The scheme improves access to education, shopping and other essential services, while also strengthening social, family, and cultural connections and reducing the isolation experienced by people living in remote areas
Step 1 : We assist local residents to lodge the application form to become eligible to the scheme.
As a local resident, we need to provide proof to the State Government’s Passenger Transport Services Branch that we have lived in this remote area for 12 months to be eligible for the scheme. We help you do this!
Step 2. As your LFS agent, we book your ticket.
Call Sheree and Greg to make your booking for your subsidised airfare. Have your LFS approval number at hand when you make the booking.
Remember: The cost of the fare is calculated by the airline at $200 off the cheapest fare still available on the flight you want to go on. SKYTRANS AUSTRALIA has a limited number of “Deal” priced seats available on each flight; so be early to book, get your cheap flight, and then enjoy the service and comfort on the Dash 8.
